MEGA MOVE?
Manchester United manager David Moyes has hinted that the club may be prepared to make a mega money offer for Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo in order to bring him back to Old Trafford. Ronaldo became the best player in the world during his time at Manchester United. This resulted in a £ 80 million move to the Santiago Bernebeu. Even with the pressure of this transfer fee, he has been able to perform in an absolutely brilliant way. He has averaged more than a goal per game since moving to Madrid.
He is only a few goals short of the record held by Alfredo di Stefano in much lesser games. However, there has been reports that Ronaldo is not entirely happy at Madrid and that he would want to leave the club. He is also not happy that the signing of Gareth Bale made him the second most expensive player behind the Welshman. Even though he signed a new five-year contract only in the summer, Moyes has revealed that he would one day like to work with Ronaldo due to his history at Old Trafford.
“Everyone at Manchester United would tell you he is the best in the business anyway. I have not been fortunate enough to work with him but there is still hope some day it might be possible,” said Moyes in an interview given to MUTV. “When you have Ronaldo it makes it easy. He scores all the time. He scored three goals on Tuesday. He is an amazing player, for me the best player in the world,” said Anderson about his former teammate.
Anderson has said that playing with Ronaldo is extremely easy because he often comes with the goals necessary to win matches. Ronaldo would cost in excess of £60 million, while he is rumoured to have a release clause of around £1 billion.
