Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has said that he is incredibly motivated by the fact that he is compared along the same lines as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Argentine and Portuguese play for Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. Even though they are extremely different in terms of the build, they are regarded to be two of the best players in the world. Lionel Messi has scored 73 goals for Barcelona in all competitions this season, while Cristiano Ronaldo is not too far behind. Interestingly, Radamel Falcao was signed by Atletico Madrid only in the summer only to replace Sergio Aguero.

He has fully repaid the £ 35 million transfer fee paid by Atletico Madrid for FC Porto. He was linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer as well. He has now won the Europa league in his inaugural season with Atletico Madrid. He has been spoken in the same breath as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo due to the fact that he has been able to establish Atletico Madrid near the top of the table. He has now been linked with a £ 50 million move to Chelsea, although the player has committed his future to Atletico Madrid at least for the time being.
