RONALDO TO RETURN TO SCORING FORM?
Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has been one of the most in-form players in the Premier League over the course of the last one month. He scored six goals in his last four league games for the Red Devils before the last game at Brighton. However, he was unable to score against Brighton in a game which ended 4-0 in favour of the Seagulls thanks to the goals from the likes of Marc Cucurella, Leandro Trossard, Moises Caicedo and Pascal Gross.
Cristiano Ronaldo had scored in four successive Premier League games before the Brighton and it remains to be seen if the five-time Ballond’or recipient will return to form when Manchester United travel to London to take on Crystal Palace.
His run of scoring in four straight league games started with a treble against bottom team Norwich City at home. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his second hat-trick of the season to lead his team to a 3-2 win over Norwich City. His first treble of the season was during the 3-2 home win over Tottenham Hotspur. Cristiano Ronaldo made it four goals in two games when he scored during the 3-1 loss at Arsenal in his first appearance after the Norwich City game. He made it five goals in three league games with the equaliser during the 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea. Ronaldo reached a tally of six goals in four games with the second goal during the 3-0 thrashing handed out to Brentford. The home game against Brentford was the last Premier League putting for Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United before the away game against Brighton.
The run of six goals in the last five games has taken the league tally of Cristiano Ronaldo to 18 goals. He’s only behind Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-Min and Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot award.
